Meet our Founder

Hello! My name is V Sakura Benzan. I’m a current senior of Fashion Design studying at the Savannah College of Art in Design in Atlanta. I’m originally from New York City, where I was raised by a Dominican father and Japanese mother.

My entire life, I’ve had a unique interest in history; particularly art & fashion history! I’d spend much of my free time studying costume archives, and museum collections. As I come to the end of my studies, I hope to make authentic J-fashion more accessible to western communities, while continuing to research the long history of fashion.
